Why Are You Not Drinking Water?

Are you tired? Are you feeling bloated? Do you want clear skin? Want to lose weight? There is a very simple solution here... DRINK WATER! You know it’s good for you, so why aren’t you drinking more of it?
“ONE GALLON? That’s so much!” I don’t like cold water. I have sensitive teeth. Too many bathroom breaks. I hate the taste. But you can drink coffee all day and effortlessly chug alcohol all night? These beverages might be good for the soul, but not so great for your overall health. I drink about one gallon every day. I always carry my (32oz) water bottle in my bag and make sure to finish my first one before leaving the house each morning. I’ll take the first few sips as soon as I wake up, continue to drink while I get ready, and sometimes end up finishing the bottle while I’m driving. Once I’m at work, I get two water bottles in and then fill up the fourth one to take to the gym with me at night. On the weekends, I carry the full gallon and fill it with lemons. If one of the reasons you’re not drinking enough water is because you don’t like the taste, there are so many ways to get creative with this. You can add cucumber, lemon, berries, oranges, watermelon, (really any fruit), mint, the options are endless! If you’re worried about taking too many trips to the bathroom, the truth is, your body will get used to it. Besides, getting a few extra steps in throughout the day is also beneficial! If you have sensitive teeth or hate cold water, don’t drink it cold. Instead, let it get to room temperature, or fill the majority with cold water and add in some hot water. But if you do enjoy cold water and your teeth are the problem, you can always use a straw. If the “one-gallon” amount is what scares you, I promise you; it’s not that bad. Try it one day! Pick a day where you’re home, maybe a slow, quiet Sunday, take a full gallon first thing in the morning and mark the gallon with times throughout the day. If you markup how much water you should have drank by 9 am, noon, 5 pm, and 9 pm it will help you effortlessly finish the whole jug. And when you finish, I want to hear how refreshed and filled with energy you are! So, water-you waiting for?! #drinkup
