EMSculpt at nuImage: Round 2

Nicole SettecasinuImage Instagram: @nuimagenj One Down... So last week I had my first session of EMSculpt. My first session was intense, and I was a bit relieved when it was over. To be honest, I wasn’t super excited for my next appointment, but I want the results, so I knew I had to go at least 3 more times. #bootygains Just to clarify, I was never in pain, the feeling was just very weird. I mean think about it – you’re lying on a table doing nothing while your stomach (or butt) muscles are being contracted to a degree that’s physically impossible to do in the gym. You have no control. All you have to do it sit/lay for 30 min, and watch the magic happen. (The magic actually happens about 6 weeks after the whole treatment is done). Round 2 Begins Now I’m strapped in, and ready for the pulses to begin. As I mentioned in my last blog, it starts off super gentle, and then gradually gets more intense. It was also brought to my attention that the person who filmed my first round had the camera on the wrong setting, so they had to re-record it all over again. I had no problem with this, I was just hoping that I wouldn’t sweat as much as I did last time. LOL When the machine first begins, it contracts the muscle for about 3-4 seconds, and then releases. Then another 3-4 seconds, and releases. This happens for a while and then it starts pulsing. Imagine someone just tapping on your stomach; or the feeling of twerking while laying down. LOL These pulses are less than a second long, starting soft and getting more intense by the 5th “tap”. Once the quick pulses end, you begin another round of the 3-4-second-long contractions. When the quick pulses/taps happen, that’s breaking down lactic acid, so you don’t get sore afterwards. It’s weird, you feel the tightness immediately after the session, but it’s nowhere near the same soreness as an intense leg day at the gym. Lights, Camera, ACTION! So now the camera’s rolling, I’m chilling, and everything is going great. I noticed that the intensity was not nearly as bad as the first time. I think that after just 1 treatment, my glutes have already gotten a little stronger (plus I knew what to expect this time around). Now I’m talking with the people in the room, we’re taking pictures and boomerangs, chit chatting away, when I asked what the intensity the machine was at. This time around seemed way easier, I wasn’t sweating like I did the first time, and I knew I only had 9 minutes left of my treatment, so I wanted to ask them to turn it up to 100%. They said they aren’t supposed to say… but I was at 100%. Turns out I was at 100% for basically the whole 30 minutes! Ain’t Nothin To It Basically, it was a breeze. I did both of my EMSculpt sessions during my lunch break (luckily my office is nearby) but I was in and out in less than an hour. There is no downtime, no soreness, it’s safe and only takes 30 minutes! For More Info… Nu Image is specializes in COOLSCULPTING Treatments, Laser Hair Removal, Vampire Facials & Injectables.
